Zach’s blessing took place in Washington at my home ward, Yakima 2nd. Brandon did a great job and the blessing was very nice. Zach did great too and didn’t start to fuss or cry at all! Here are some family pictures with Zach in his blessing outfit!

Gigi and Papa

We just returned from our annual visit to the promised land, aka Yakima/Selah Washington.  We spent an unprecedented two weeks there, which I think is the longest single visit I’ve made since I left for college.  I bet it’s the same for Kristen too.  We were able to relax, spend time with both our families, and be there for Kristen’s Grandmas funeral.

We also took the opportunity to bless our little Zach while we were up there.  He did great during his blessing, and didn’t cry or make a peep the whole time.  A friend of ours psyched me out a bit by relating the story of how one of his boys yelled and screamed the entire time, but fortunately Zach decided not to put his old man through the wringer. I’m guessing he’s saving that for the future.

Zach continues to be the best little guy in the world, and we are blessed to have a baby that seems to travel pretty well.  He slept almost the whole time during our drive both up and back, and even managed to sleep at the hotel after long hours of sleeping in the car.  May favorite outfit so far is his onesie with a tie on it:

We put these gray pants on him and he looks like a little salesman.  I can almost hear him saying “So Dad, what’s it gonna take to put you in this car today?”

The other fun part of our trip was the inaugural meeting of the Farmer motorcycle club.

All of the boys have a motorcycle except for Eric, but we’re busy applying peer pressure to him as often as we can, and we all know he’ll fold one day ;)   We managed to get a couple rides in all together, and it was great fun to ride the back roads of Selah, Gleed, and Naches.  Apart from the gravel (it’s everywhere) the roads were great — it’s quite a feeling to ride through it all  and smell the various blossoms and other scents that surround the orchards. Me and my Dad were able to ride up into the Ellensburg canyon, and next time I’m up there I want to make sure we ride the whole thing:

Claire and Bailey usually have separate baths because I’m doing them alone, but this time Michael was home so they got to have a bath together and they had a blast!! Here is a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQ8DTIk7IoE&feature=youtu.be Enjoy!

Our little stroller setup:

Here are some of the funny faces he makes:

Here’s a video of Zach smiling and laughing:

So this week for the girls therapy session they got to try all sorts of things. They got to try sour straws, which Claire liked, graham crackers, red bell peppers, which Bailey loved, cheetos, turkey jerky, and chocolate pudding. These are the resulting pictures. They had a lot of fun!

My Mom bought him this cute giraffe hat- just adorable!

Love these, so sweet and pure!

Brandon’s favorite! He loves his expression in this one!

Sarah Oberg, with Fancy Face Portraiture took these amazing photos of Zach when he was 5 days old! Usually newborns sleep a lot but not this little guy! We were there for almost 4 hours trying to get him to fall asleep and stay asleep!!! Not to mention he kept peeing and pooping on her nice blankets and couch, to which I felt just horrible about. We SO appreciated her time and patience and think the photos turned out great! We would highly recommend her for family, newborn, etc.

I love this one because of his kung fu grip on his paci! He did not want to let it go!

Our Sweet Family!

My precious baby boy!

My Mom! Came to help us out for a week- a big THANKS to her!
Long limbs! Although I think his should is dropped so his arm really isn’t quite as long as it looks! We think he will be tall just like his dad!
I love this one with Daddy!

I still intend to keep this thin going.  All evidence to the contrary. I will probably just put up a mass picture overload post pretty soon to get us all caught up. We are alive and life is crazy. We are getting our house all packed up so we can move into Mama and Papa Farmer’s house for a few weeks.  Then into our new house!

In other news, I am starting another blog.  The new blog is mostly for me because I am finding that I am having a hard time remembering all the day to day stuff that is going on in our lives right now.  So I needed a place where I could record everyday, from my phone, all the things that the kids do that make me smile.  I really don’t want to forget all these things, so Notes on All the Glamor is born. Please don’t feel obligated to follow. I’m not planning on linking it up to our Farmer Family News blog or anything because the goal is to post everyday and that could get a little old.  :) But you are more than welcome to read and comment if you have nothing better to do.

Anyway, that is my quick update. Like I said, I am planning on having a major picture update soon. I just need to get my act together. Hopefully before we move, but I definitely will not make any promises.  It’s kind of a mad house around here.

Our little bundle decided to make his debut early Friday morning!  He weighed in at a decent 7lbs 4oz, and was 20.5″ long.   Here are some of his first pictures:

So we’re 99.9% sure his name will be Nyle Zachary Farmer and he’ll go by Zach! Nyle is Brandon’s first name which is also his father’s name and he is the oldest son. Brandon wanted to carry on the tradition with our oldest son too! I made these using paper mache letters I found at Joann’s, along with some paper, ribbon, and just regular glue thinned with water to use as modge podge. It was a fun project and I think it turned out cute!
The nursery is suppose to have an aviation theme to it, but it’s hard to find airplane stuff that matches my colors so it’s a work in progress!
Terri and Rose Ellen helped me make a couple of Taggies when I was home for Christmas and I just love them! This is one of them hanging on the side of the crib. It’s a small piece of fabric with fun ribbons on all four sides. Babies love these and they are the perfect size to carry around!
Here is the gorgeous crib my parents bought us! They are starting a tradition of buying each child a crib to use for their family and we are the lucky first! The nice thing about this one is that is can convert to a todler bed and later on a double if needed.
This glider was a splurge no doubt, but well worth the money in my opinion! I haven’t used it yet, but I’m sure those AM feedings well be nice in this comfy glider! I chose a white slip cover because it’s easy to bleach when stains appear. I also think as we have more kids it will go with any color or decor!

Here is a memory board I made. So far it’s decorated with cards from my showers but hopefully soon we will start filling it with fun pictures!
I love this! They call this a paper chandelier! I think this piece inspired the whole room!
This dresser doubles as a changing station and storage. I used some of that rubber drawer line to protect the top and keep the changing pad from slipping off. The picture frames will of course soon have pictures of the little guy! The wooden propeller is from WWII and is pretty cool. Brandon loves aviation and is also going to make a model airplane to hang in the room.
